If you are considering investing in gold and silver coins, a Gold IRA, or simply a gold investment, you might come across GoldenCrest Metals. As a precious metals specialist, I want to tell you more about this gold IRA company and help you make a better decision about whether this company is right for you.

What is GoldenCrest Metals?

GoldenCrest Metals is a relatively new gold dealer that was established in late 2023. Based in Calabasas, CA, this company specialized in helping investors and IRA account holders diversify their portfolios through gold and other precious metals. The company has a focus on gold IRAs.

In just over 2 years, the company has quickly established itself as a player in the field. The company has put a big emphasis on transparent pricing, customer satisfaction, and personalized service. The company offers a number of services for those who are looking to diversify their retirement accounts with physical precious metals. So far it has positive reviews and great industry ratings. This is showing us all that it has a strong commitment to exceptional service and ethical practices.

If you are considering setting up a gold IRA or investing in precious metals, GoldenCrest Metals products might be a good choice. Let's look into the company a bit more and look at more GoldenCrest metals reviews.

Pros & Cons of GoldenCrest Metals

Before we look at more reviews, it's important to check out the pros and cons of working with GoldenCrest Metals:

Pros

Let's start with the fact that GoldenCrest Metals is accredited by the Better Business Bureau. This is always a good sign of a reputable company, but we will look into this further. Another pro is that the company operates on smaller margins. This ensures that investors get the most for their money. The company has real-time pricing and all annual fees are covered for the first year. In addition to this, the company offers five years of free storage.

Cons

There are some considerations to keep in mind if you are looking into GoldenCrest Metals. First, since this is a young company, there aren't a lot of reviews compared to other precious metals IRA companies. Though reviews are positive, investing with a new company may carry some risk. Another con is that the company doesn't list prices for precious metals on its website.

GoldenCrest Metals Products and Services

GoldenCrest Metals has a number of products and services, and I think it's a good idea to look into each one:

Gold IRAs

Many people find GoldenCrest Metals because they are looking for gold IRAs. The company seems dedicated to helping clients build their retirement portfolio, and with this company, the gold IRA setup process seems easy.

Many people choose a gold IRA because they know that it's relatively safe for their financial future, and historically, gold, and other physical metals, have held their own during market fluctuations. Like most other precious metals companies, GoldenCrest Metals offers IRA-eligible gold and other metals, including gold bars, gold coins, and more.

Silver IRA

If you like silver, you can also add silver coins to your IRA. Keep in mind that though people refer to a precious metals IRA as a "gold IRA," they can include any IRS-approved gold, silver, platinum, or palladium.

Gold and Silver Non IRA Metals

Some people don't want to put gold or silver in an IRA. Instead, they simply want to invest in the metals without considering retirement planning. The GoldenCrest Metals store has gold and silver coins available for purchase. However, keep in mind that you must contact GoldenCrest metals directly if you want to buy, which can turn some people off. Here are some of the coins that GoldenCrest Metals has available:

Fees & Investment Minimums

There is not a lot of information about the fees associated with GoldenCrest Metals. I can tell you that the typical set up fee for a gold IRA is between $50 and $80, on average. The precious metals investment process also requires an annual maintenance fee. On average, this is around $100. However, GoldenCrest Metals is covering this fee for the first year for those who open individual retirement accounts.

As for storage fees, the company offers complimentary storage for eligible accounts. I couldn't find anything on the company website about how much storage is following the promotional period. I can tell you, however, that average storage is about $100 for general storage and $150 for segregated storage.

Finally, let's talk about minimum investment that's required. GoldenCrest Metals requires a $25,000 minimum investment, and that comes with a year of complimentary storage and a 10% rebate on silver. With an IRA, home storage is not allowed per IRS guidelines, so you must store it with the company in IRS-approved depositories. The more you invest, the longer you get free storage, too, so keep that in mind. All accounts have the silver rebate, which brings up to $25,000 in free silver.

I think it's also important to mention that there is a $10,000 minimum investment for direct cash purchases. However, there are no benefits until you reach the $25,000 minimum for an IRA.

GoldenCrest Precious Metals Storage

Per IRS rules, the precious metals that are used for an IRA must be stored in a depository. You cannot store them in your home or bank. GoldenCrest uses the highly recommended Delaware Depository, and again, you get up to five years of free storage depending on your investment level.

GoldenCrest Metals Complaints

Currently, there were no major complaints about GoldenCrest Metals. Seasoned investors seem to like the company, and with any gold IRA, the tax benefits are great. Working with a company like this can help you reach your financial goals and expectations.

While they are a newer organization, don't let that fool you.  They provide excellent service.  If you are looking for more seasoned alternatives, read the below articles:

GoldenCrest Metals Final Overview

Though GoldenCrest is the new kid on the block, it does seem to be highly recommended by consumers who have used the company. The company seems to have a lot of integrity and transparency, and since there are no complaints or highly negative reviews, your funds are secure and safe.

The one caveat that may turn some people away from this company is that GoldenCrest Metals doesn't show pricing on the website. You must reach out to the company to learn about what pricing is for the metals on it's site.

Time will continue to tell the story of GoldenCrest Metals, but for now, it seems to be a straightforward, high quality gold IRA option.
